This past Sunday, April 30, 2017 – we… approx. 1700 of us, participated in the Run for Hope Event given by our fave, OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center. Well, at least my team did. For me, I volunteered at water station #2 and it was just as fabulous!
This was such a great event! My team said it was great and all the chatter on the bus going back to our cars after it was over seemed to agree with us. Not only was the OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center staff on point and ran the event with great effectiveness, the attitudes were just as stellar. They greeted everyone with big smiles, gave hugs, accomodated requests and wished us well for the rest of the day.
The volunteers in the other parts of the event were just as lovely. They also had big smiles and a willingness attitude.
This was my first Run for Hope and it surely will not be my last. I am looking forward to The Walker Johnson & Nasia Legacy Team to be even bigger… and all representing with their personalized t-shirts for the person(s) they have lost.
